Differences in same light setup between Studio and Substance Painter

Noticed this bit of strangeness today when setting up export presets in Studio for Substance Painter and can't quite figure out what is causing it. Both are rendered using Iray, both only lit with a single, identical HDRI under Infinite Domes. The camera settings are similar but not exact (it's kind of hard to match exactly in SP) and the exposure is also estimated. However, what's confusing is that the Substance Painter render has much brighter edge lighting despite its sky not being as blinding as the Studio one (due to lower exposure). Could someone suggest what might be causing such a difference in brightness? The SP one looks more realistic to me, which makes me wonder what could be going on with the Studio render.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
