Saving One Preset for Multiple items

Is there a way to save a Preset that effects multiple items.

I have a 3 sets of wings that work independently, 6 wings total. 
I wanted to save a few poses but I can't figure out how to save the preset that will include all six wings.

Is there a way to do this or is it back to the rigging phase?

    You can save it as a hierarchical pose preset.

    Can I use the hierarchical pose preset to save just the wings? 
    Or do I also have to include the Gen model to set up the hierarchy?

    Yes, the options dialogue will let you select.

    Ok, so I was able to save the pose preset, but...
    1 - The 'pose' is not there (rotations, etc), and

    2 - If I apply the pose to the individual wing, the wing 'pops back'.  If I apply the pose to the figure, the figure pops back with it.

    Hope that makes sense.
