Saving Group of Props as asset

How do you save a group of different props as an asset?

Do i have to do Scene or Scene Subset or is there a better way?

I usually save it as a scene subset.

scene subsets were taking forever (and I have 100s)

then I did a test
open a new window
load a cube 
save it as a scene 5 secs
save it as a scene subset 35 seconds
---
if you put them both in to the content library either one will let you merge it into the current project.

I only use subeet now if I need to save a part of a scene .. say an item I've been working on .. because a lot of the time even if it's slow ... it still is faster than deleteing any kind of complex stuff
