this is the way i use to get a daz posed figure into 3damax

 use the wavefront/obj exporter

just export and import into max

if you get an invalid normal error, just do it again and deselect whichever item is causing it

also

if you run alembic exporter as well it collects all the needded material files  -  diffuse, speculsr, bump into a convenient folder

and if you can delete the figure and export the camera as an fbx

load the camera fbx into max, and select the camera and load the obj file

then retexture it to fit whichever renderer you're using with the textures from the alembic folder

works for me ..

No need to run alembic exporter just for the textures.

Open file explorer. You find all the textures in your library\Runtime\name of artist\name of charactert, building, car...

Or you can find this directory in DAZ, if you put your cursor over a texture in surfaces tab, left click>browse.

still there is something wrong with the skin when you export it.

plus the models have much lower resolution compared to Daz 3D

looks like an 3d model from the 90s

hairs looks crap with much worse details.

this is not optimized at all yet.

as i see it its just an sneak peek with an step back in every area.

its better if V-RAY comes to Daz 3d instead ;)

    Iray is outdated already
