Collision and hooking on issues with clothing... the fix?

How do I correct it so that her fingers aren't cutting in under the sweater? I can't move them away anymore then it will look like her hand or fingers are floating in the air once I add lighting and shadow.

Are you getting this with a smoothing modifier on, or without?
Uuuuuuhhhhh - dunno? *shrug* Heehee, and where can I find that to check it?
OKay, I selected the vest - then went up top to the small menu lines, opened it and found edit and then in Geometry I found apply smoothing modifier and it said that the vest could not be smoothed, or modified or whatever.
The idea of smoothing is so that any small poke-through issues can be fixed. It pushes the mesh forwards (or backwards, in some cases) when it intersects the collision object, in this case the figure.
The only way to fix it really is to either disable it for this particular pose or move the finger slightly so that it no longer collides with the outfit quite so much. DFormers can also work wonders to fix little issues like this as well, but be careful not to make too extreme a change, as it might intersect her wrist instead!
Another option is to use a bodysuit that has no gloves. Fit and smooth the bodysuit to the figure then make the bodysuit invisible. Fit the sweater to the figure but have it smooth to the bodysuit.
Try changing collision smoothing interval to 2 and collision iterations to 0.......tweak both of these plus level of smoothing iterations
You'll find settings for smoothing etc in the parameters tab.
Most of the time I do what Aave suggested and tweak the Collision and Smoothing settings; however, when everything else fails, you can try selecting that single joint on one finger and raising it slightly so it doesn't collide with the sweater...rinse and repeat! :D
