Wow, I kinda want to know what prompted this :) I mean, I find myself spontaneously saying the same thing too, but more often after figuring out something that was vexing me for a long time...
Me too daz made my life in 3D world
they deserve thankful .
Seconded lol. What big secret did you stumble upon
I find people are mostly good here. Just users trying to help each other out when we can. Don't ever go to reddit, twitter or deviantart if you think this place is toxic lol. DS has it's issues, and I have been flirting with moving over to blender for the rendering part, but it's a lot more complicated, and of course it's a whole new process to learn, as it's a full 3d suite, not a just virtual studio like daz studio. I been modelling in blender a while, but not doing materials and rendering etc. I like the realism of iray, but I don't like to be tied down to expensive components to get reasonable render speeds. I like being tied down to windows even less, but DS is not the only graphics program that has me needing to fire up windows to use.
OK this seems like a weird comment now, but it's true, so I will leave it up lol.
Daz Studio is not the best program available for rendering and animation ... but it is AMAZING how much it does offer and can do for a free program. I am quite grateful for it !! Customer service has always been good as well. How do I show my appreciation? Well ... I can say thank you verbally like this, but more often I seem to just show it by buying more products [wait, did I say free?].
Yes. DAZ helps keep me sane through the bad times.
Quality products and great sales which translates to a much bigger runtime than I ever anticipated.
Forum peeps are always friendly and helpful. Thanks!
I like it, it's nice
but the software I love is also owned by DAZ 3D and unloved
which software is that
yess and they were so helpful during the pandemic with covid19
they had huge sales that helped us all and i will never forget that
well there is only two, Carrara and Bryce both equally neglected
(Hexagon hardly counts as it's a modeller not a render suite)
in my case it's Carrara
I love DAZ content and use it a lot, studio is OK, it's free is good for loading DAZ content to export elsewhere but it doesn't do a lot that I want either.
I don't want to derail your D|S love thread though talking about other DAZ software,
it was more a reply to the second half
not everyone is with you on this I am afraid, some of us are actually very salty
i know that
so can i delete this post
oh don't get me wrong, DAZ are moving in the right direction with export plugins to other better software but it's a pity they cannot fix basic things such as the node name misspellings on Genesis 3 & 8 crashing Carrara and Dual Quaternion to blended weight batch conversion even if it were a patch script we could run on later content for our use.
you know what maybe you can help me do you know where i can find costumes for kids for daz studio i want to make a trick or treat scene
there are plenty of Poser legacy costumes for K4
just a matter of autofitting them for your later figures

I used to be starry-eyed too; I like what Studio offers, but am disappointed in some of the decissions Daz has made- both recently and as part of 4.9 release. I still have hopes for them though, because introducing the bridges was a biggy.
I just hope quality control improves.
Daz studio/Genesis, was vital tool in the production of my feature length animated Marvel Fan Film .
I think it's great but it's also kind-of frustrating. But then I have that experience with all 3D software, without exception. I think the problem is they're all good at something but none of them are good at cooperating with each other.
I saw your thread on that. Pretty cool idea. Those are slightly before my time (late 70's-early 80's) but I'm really interested.
Do you have any experience with modeling? I think the masks could be done in Hexagon or Blender. And the plastic gown would be a simple mesh draped in dforce.
I'm already working on Halloween costumes of my own, but I can offer you help if you want it.
Edit: In regards to the thread subject, yes I do love Daz Studio although I don't always show it.
oh yes ty so much please if you can that would be great ty kitsumo i really appreciate that
I liked it better before the requirements to use it with Iray went up so much. Now it is rather frustrating.
What drew me to DAZ Studio is the many pre-made human figures and I don't have to create my own from scratch.
