Question about Centaurs for G8 (Solved)

I just noticed that the hides you can buy for Centaur G8M and G8F are very different.  Can they use each other's materials, so that they can match?

    Yes. Both generations of centaurs use the Horse 2 UV, so they're compatible with all Horse 2 and Centaur 7/8 materials.

    Do you happen to know if it's as simple as clicking the icon, or do I have to go searching for the jpg file to input into materials?

    Just did it myself, and you can apply the female materials directly to male and vice versa.

    I'm not at my computer right now, so I can't definitively check those packs aren't some weird and unknown exception, but the centaur bodies (male or female) normally just use the UVs from Daz Horse 2 - and I have successfully used horse materials on centaurs, so I can at least confirm that part.

    EDIT: Basically "what Gordig said".
