    I'm glad I read this, so I know not to install the update. I'm on DS4.21.0.5 because my DS PC is Win7 and that's the last version that works fully for me. (And has 3Delight which I occasionally use)

    What Daz Studio versions are people using? I have confirmed to my satisfaction that DS4.24 and DS6 no longer honor the encryption version anymore when encrypting scripts and just encrypt with the DS version it is running on. This means that encrypting with DS6 would create scripts that could not be loaded in DS4.24. However, I re-encrypted with the earliest version I could (v4.24 - I am not sure of the minor version) when working with the tester. Is anyone with v4.24 getting them to work? Do you have the latest v4.24 installed?

    I'm using DS 4.24.0.4. In Content Library, I found there's no information of Author, File Type as well as Version from the script: Ultimate Zero Selected.dse. Maybe the script is corrupted ?

    I am running the 4.24 Beta, doesn't work for me. I won't be moving to 6 anytime soon because there are far too many tools I need for my workflow that haven't been updated yet.

    I am using DS 4.24.0.4 and Ultimate Zero does not work in that version. (I posted these details in my first message about this problem.)

    .dsb can be encrypted or just compressed, in somewhat older builds .dse was used for encrypted and .dsb was only for compressed.

    Jumped in here hoping that I'd see a solution to my problem (Ultimate Zero not working in the DS 4.24.0.4), and I see others have the same issue. So adding a data point: when I opened it today, I only had icons for 3 scripts visible in Smart Content (Ultimate Zero Selected, Ultimate Zero Turn Locks Off, and Ultimate Zero Turn Locks On), and I thought that maybe something glitched somewhere, so I unistalled it and reinstalled it. Same result. When I tried to use the Ultimate Zero Selected, an error pops up and the log file says:
    2026-07-29 18:58:52.312 [WARNING] :: Failed to load script: F:/My DAZ 3D Library/scripts/riversoft art/ultimate zero/ultimate zero selected.dse
    And I have no idea where the other utilities went (they aren't in the product library either).

    You can find all the scripts in Content Library, under : your Daz Library\Scripts\RiverSoft Art\Ultimate Zero.

    You only see 3 scripts in Smart Content... because other 11 scripts have no metadata. If you categorize the scritps, you'll be able to see them all in there ~~

    But they still won't work in DS4. I reverted to a backup version until this gets fixed.

    What's your backup strategy for this sort of thing? I used to have one, but I've let it slide. I don't know that my old strategy would have prevented this.

    I pretty much never use content library (I think only two products are an exception), and I used all those scripts in the past, so they were definitely in the smart content. They aren't now.
    And as Barbult said, they still don't work.

    I have automatic backup of my entire computer to a Synology NAS once a day.

    We've already said they lack of metadata, that's why they don't appear in Smart Content. Daz should fix the metadata. I'm also a heavy user of Smart Content so I fixed them in the first place anyway.

    And as I said above, one problematic script makes all scripts not work in DS 4.24. RiverSoft Art is fixing it... I believe.

    Is anyone able to explain the advantage of this over the zero presets that Zed puts out with pose packs? If it's going to save me time, it's worth me looking at.

    Ultimate Zero goes into more depth allowing you to pick and choose which pose modifiers are cleared or not. And it provides the "restore defaults" vs "actually set to zero" choice found in the edit menu's zero pose functionality.

    That said, usually I use one Zed's presets for "normal" pose zeroing. But sometimes a pose is acting weird and Ultimate Zero will tell you why zeroing isn't working as expected.

    Ah, so if you get into a mess with limb twists, etc. you can just reset selected body parts rather than the whole thing?

    Yes, or you're using a pose library that doesn't bake the pose and then forget it's still active. (could also be found (usually) in "currently used").

    You did, but there is a difference between "they don't appear in Smart Content because they don't have metadata" (implying default) and "Daz changed something that affected/removed the metadata."
    I'm glad you fixed them, but I don't really have enough time nor the will to actually learn how to fix metadata, especially that it wasn't me who broke it, and Daz doesn't sell products as "DIY metadata" but as "metadata included." ;)

    Yup. I saw that. As I said above, I was just adding a data point.

    I may need to think about doing this. thanks.

    Hi, I posted this in the tech support forum by mistake, I hope you can help me.

    I use 'Ultimate Zero' by Riversoft a lot and it has stopped working in DAZ 4.24. I recently installed an update for the product and it now works in DAZ 6 but no longer works in DAZ 4.24. Log file details are shown below.

    I share the same database for both DAZ 4.24 and DAZ 6 because I have a 5090 video card and frankly the viewport performance in DAZ 6 is simply not good enough. I do my work in 4.24 and then render in 6 and I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this. Since 'Ultimate Zero' no longer works in 4.24 I am really frustrated. How can I revert to the old version of 'Ultimate Zero' from before the update?

    Thanks for your help, John

    Here is what happens in 4.24.

    In some cases when I run a script a message pops up saying "... file could not be loaded." Here is an example of what the log says in this case:

    2026-08-05 10:06:15.024 [INFO] :: Loading script: D:/DAZ Content/My DAZ 3D Library/Scripts/RiverSoft Art/Ultimate Zero/Ultimate Zero Selected.dse

    For some of the scripts no message appears but nothing happens. Here is an example of what the log says in this case:

    2026-08-05 10:02:18.494 [INFO] :: Loading script: D:/DAZ Content/My DAZ 3D Library/Scripts/RiverSoft Art/Ultimate Zero/Ultimate Zero Expression.dse
