Wet skins G3/G8 for 3Delight?

I'm trying to help a 3DL user to make a wet skin for G3 or G8. Searched the store for products but turned out (as expected) that they are all "IRay only". Has anyone succeded in converting any of them to 3DL? How are the geoshell mats set up in IRayUber? What kind of controlmaps are provided? They also seem to utilize decal nodes for positioning drops/details. Is it possible to use LIE instead? Any other tips, thoughts or tricks would be most appreciated.

    There are a couple by parris and SimonWM for Genesis 2.  Maybe they could convert them?
