Can we PLEASE get some decent historically accurate outfits for Genesis 8 Male and Female????

I'd like to point out to everyone on the forums these images:

Can we PLEASE get some decent historically accurate Greek and Viking armor based ENTIRELY on images like these????

I'm so tired of the fantasy movie-trope stuff thats available for G8M/F. I would pay a decent amount for some PROPER historical armor and clothing. That means Vikings WITHOUT fur covered barbarian armor and horned helms, that means proper hardcore looking Greek helms with big intimidating crests, that means historically accurate weapons and equipment.

Back in the days of V4/M4, the sellers out there made a real attempt to create some good historical content. Can we PLEASE see the same care and respect for history in the Genesis 8 series of figures?!

Go to Renderosity and look up the work of Deacon215.  He(?)'s done a good bit of historically accurate armor and other period costumes for G3 and G8 and is the most likely to produce something to your interests.

You might want to send a message of interest for a specific era / culture to the PA who made the Shenandoah outfits.  Meshitup is pretty dang good, IMHO.  Does some Hollywoodized historical content, but also does more accurate.  For example, if I was going to have some ancient Assyrians wreak havoc I'd look first to Meshitup.

  • Thanks for the replies, guys! I sent Deacon a message, hopefully he responds. I even offered to partially sponsor the project, just to sweeten the pot. Also, how does one contact Daz Store vendors directly? I did look through Meshitup's work, he does seem like the type of history enthusiast who could help me out.

A lot of DAZ PAs are active here in the forum.  This is Meshitup's info  https://www.daz3d.com/forums/profile/Meshitup

I would raise a ticket, asking for Daz to contact the PA with your request, unless you know they are active on the forumns. Daz handles stuff as a lot of PAs are also not active on the forums.
