Customizing UI

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I want to make some items more easily accessible, specifically the dForce Surfaces Adjuster, but some others as well. Can I somehow box them all up into one menu or a tab?

    Window>Workspace Customise, find the command on the left (if present) and drag into the desired location(s) in the Menus or Tool bars tabs on the right.

    F3, choose the action you want on the left side and drag it to the menu/toolbar on the right.

    And if neccessary, create a new toolbar(s) for new commands (and icons for them if you like).

    And don't forget, once you've got everything the way you like, save a Workspace Layout preset. D|S has been (mostly) stable for a good few years now, but every now and then something goes <clunk> in the UI and you'll be very glad of that saved preset.

    Also, one drawback of the UI being so completely customisable is that it's sometimes much too easy to mis-click on something and mess up the layout. Having that preset to hand will save much time otherwise usefully(!) spent banging your forehead against the keyboard...
