Will .tip.png files work in a different runtime?

I want to create .tip.png files for a folder of presets, but don't want them mixed with DIM-installed files. If they're in the same relative path in a different content folder, will they still work?

I'm not 100% sure I understand your question, but I THINK as long as it's in a different folder, custom "tip" files shouldn't interfere with DIM installed files. Probably best if you test it first to make sure (and in case I'm not understanding your question correctly).
Well I tried it out and unfortunately it doesn't work. What I was trying to do:
My first content folder is "My Library" and my second is "My Daz 3D Library" (the usual recommended configuration), so that things I do get saved to "My Library", and only DIM puts stuff in "My Daz 3D Library". I wanted to add .tip.png's to products that don't come with them, and since DS treats all the content folders as one big content folder for many purposes, I was hoping that if I put the tip files in "My Library" with the same relative path, DS might treat them as being in the same folder. However, that doesn't work.
Unfortunately files for the same item need to be in the actual same folder, not only the same path
