Looking for rendering recommendations!

I'm designing a graphic novel and would like some suggestions on render settings in Iray that would all my OGN to be printed with clarity if it gets to that point.

I'm hoping someone has done this already and doesn't mind sharing a few tips. :)

Personally I'd just save all the scene files. There is no point at all in rendering every scene at the resolutions you'd need for print for online only.

I have every scene file for all of my VN's saved and it takes up almost nothing (well ok it is something 15 Gb put its not that much and that's 3 completed VN's and 3 in progress). It's certainly way less than what all those scenes would take up rendered at print resolutions.

What about layout for the pages?

As @kenshaw0011267 pointed out - make sure each panel scene is saved. Since you mentioned "if it gets to that point", there is probably no real need to render out everything at super high 600 DPI if you don't know if it will even go to print.

There is something here about pixel filter settings to make things less blurry.

The short story probably will not be published but the OGN will definitely be.  What render setting would give me the best 300DPI and 600DPI resolution?  As an approach, I was definitely going to save each panel, labeling each by number and folder by page for organization.

Find out how big you want the image to be printed at, say 3" x 5". multiply by 300. That gets the image resolution you need to render at (900 x 1500)

Which is why, as I wrote before, it is way easier to render the scenes for online consumption and then store the scenes and see if you're going to print them and then what print size you'll actually need.

There is absolutely no point in rendering scenes for online consumption at print resolution and likewise no point in trying to print renders made for online consumption.

For page layout you need to do that outside of daz and with already rendered scenes. There are programs, desktop publishing programs, that will help you through that process. They will certainly provide you with the physical sizes of images needed once a page is laid out.

Ah, I see.  Okay.  I will work with what everyone has suggested.  Thank you so much.
