And all the modelling is done. Now for the texture maps (aka my least favourite part).

    Awesome!

Working on an 80s inspired Catgirl outfit.

  • I've been busy all summer long. First with a play, then a week's vacation at my Dad's place, then I starred in my first movie roll (woohoo!). I've been missing doing 3D stuff all summer but now I've got a few days free to work on stuff.

Making a hoodie outfit for Lolo.

Eyes are finished. Surprisingly expressive. I still think I prefer hand painted faces on a figure so stylized but the geometry eyes are easier to work with. Was a bit of a challenge getting the eyes to move properly given how stylized the head is.

I think I'll work on a geographed mouth next.

OMG! She is so cute! Perfect anime!  She's so adorable, it would be fun to add a little of her to G3's, but I guess that's not possible if she's an original figure.

How did you learn to do that?

Oh, and congrats on the movie! What movie? I started out trying to be an actress but ended up doing mostly extra and stand-in work, then fell into a job as an exec in the film industry but had a psychopath abusive boss and now have a boss phobia LOL and have to do my own thing... Amazing work on your characters and clothes!

I made a set of hair textures that can be used to make brushes for making hair texturing easier. You can give them a try and see if they help.

Just learned by doing I guess. I've made a few figures and each time I learn something new which helps. Mostly I like making clothes but making figures is a lot of fun too, especially highly stylized ones.

The movie is a low budget Canadian horror movie called "Chewed". I don't know when it's coming out. My friend Mike Trebilcock produced and directed it. We've worked together before as musicians and he knew I was also an actor so he asked me to be in his film. It was a lot of fun, a great experience. I'd say as an actor that stage is definitely the more fun of the two but doing movies is still fun, just a different kind of fun.

Thanks! Share the wealth I always say. I think I've offered everything I've finished for free. Sometimes I'll be working on something though and I suddenly get inspired to create something else so the thing I was working on gets pushed to the back burner (where I may or may not forget about it entirely). When I was beta testing Marvelous Designer 3 I must have made a thousand outfits for Genesis 1 (most of them were kinda "meh" or variations of a theme). I was planning to go through and finish up the best of the bunch but then I bought 3D Coat and I've been so in love with that software I just haven't felt like going back and finishing up all the MD made outfits.

  • Almost done the modelling part.

  • Thanks Ghastly will look into but honestly most of the all over vertical diffuse shaders made by PAs look fine, as is its more of a toony hair so might just go with that and suggest latter for more realistic.

Still hoping someone will let know if the morphs work for them, am prob going to start over anyway

  • Toying around with morphs of an old friend. It got me in as a pa before with the sportspack. I am thinking a super morph package and showing some of the work in my gallery.

And that geograft was/is a royal pain to get working right. Thankfully, I've figured out how to do the other one I need for that set.
