Can't install Bryce or Daz Studio or the Install Manager on my Mac

This is a little frustrating to say the least. I've got a 64 bit Mac, I would like to install the programs I purchased, however, everything seems to fail. At some point Bryce was installed, however, it won't take my serial number, which I got out of my account on your site. Copy and paste.

What the hell is going on here? :gulp:

Bryce doesn't work with any OS X greater than 10.6. This is stated on the product page.

Oh, great. So all that content I've purchased over the years is just trash. Will it possibly run on my Windows machine at work? Or is the 64 bit system going to make it worthless for that computer too.

Also, does that mean it won't run on Parallels on that Mac either? (The one that is OS 10.9)

No you can run on parallels or in Boot camp. Pop over to the Bryce forum I am sure a couple of our Mac users there can guide you on that .

Have you tried installing Bryce 6 or even 5.5 if you purchased them? They would still be in your product library even if they are listed as inactive.

If they install and work, the only products that would not work would be those products that only work in Bryce 7.

I'm not very familiar with Mac's but is it possible to create a dual boot as is often done with Windows? I have a dual boot with XP and Win 7 simply because I have some apps that work better in XP than they do in 7.

The DAZ Install Manager and Daz Studio should work on your Mac, most people are having no problems with them. I have left a message for our helpful Mac Guru to pop into this thread when he comes back on line, Your Bryce issues, as I said, are best addressed in the Bryce forum, and I notice that you have found that fourm.

The problem is, on parallels anyway, is that the toolbar for creation of primitives and such doesn't show up. I just wanted to do one little project and I can't. Really, just two textured image faces with some lighting. Can't do it without the toolbar. I'm losing it here. Argh!!

Bryce 7 pro will run under Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 (SP2+), or NT (SP6). Note: Not compatible with Windows 2003 Server

Excluding the Bryce problem, what problem do you have with installing DAZ Studio? Are you installing with DIM or using manual installers? And what version of DAZ Studio?

I was trying to install it with the DIM. However, I think I will have to trash it, and try to install it under parallels. Otherwise, assuming I can ever get Bryce to install, I won't be able to make much use of the DIM or Daz Studio, because they'll be on the Mac and Bryce will be on the virtual PC.
