in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

If I wanted to back up all the items I have gotten for Daz over the years to an external hard drive I would back up My Daz 3d Library but are there other files I need to back up as well??  A friend recently had his hard drive go bad and I don' want to d/l thousand of files again.

    If you back up the installers that will allow you to rebuild. If you want to preserve the installed content you shoudl back up the content directories and the database (the ContentCluster folder in Edit>Preferences>CMS Settings - by default it is in AppData so should be caught by most back up tools) and application settings where possible (%AppData%/daz 3d/Studio4/, incudes layouts, actions, and custom actions).
