DazCentral vs Install Manager vs Connect confusion
As DazCentral came out, I thought this will be "the intended way to manage product for the future", so I uninstalled all my Daz connect (it was also time to clean up stuff I rarely use to make some space) and started downloading it with DazCentral. Having a few issues and missing some feature is understandable for new apps.
What really bothers me is the missig link between the Install Manager and Daz Connect. As a casual user I am not sure what the "best way" of those three is.
Should I leave it for now and hope that DazCentral becomes the new All-in-One feature?
or
Should I stick with Daz Connect, as for me it is way comfortable to use than Install Manager and DazCentral?

I'd just say use the one you like and that works for you and that you are happy with how it works. I would also suggest just using one of them. Personally, for me, that is DIM.
I like DIM, I don't like Connect for a variety of reasons; one of the main ones, the download manager is part of the render software - no thanks. Also not a fan of DazCentral.
Obviously, they need another installer to clear up the confusion of the other installers.
(I have DIM and Connect products in my Daz. Whatever you're comforable with is fine.)
It won't. Note that Central is NOT "the latest, greatest, all-in-one", it's a simplified cut-down version of DIM specially designed for new users, who have a track record of getting confused by the full range of DIM features. And if you're not a new user, if you know how to modify and control your content library, a lot of people have realised too late that Central has a habit of destroying your custom content settings, replacing everything with the base defaults. If you're happy with Connect or DIM and find it easy to use, stay with it. There are way too many posts here from people who tried it and regretted it. IMO Central's just too trigger-happy with that default reset.
Thank you all for your response, especially SpottedKitty.
I am using Daz for about 2 years now and still see myself as a casual user, not modifying anything.
At first I was really overwhelmed by the DIM, so i used DAZ Connect because I could filter through with ease and recognize the products better thanks to the thumbnail. Today I am more comfortable with everything, so I gonna try to stick to DazCentral and DIM (Some products are simply missing in DazCentral).
DIM can show a thumbnail in the tooltip - you have to select the items, then right-click>Retrieve>Thumbnail>All Missing In Selected.
Thanks Richard Haseltine, didn't know that. But it seems to only show up if I hover over it, or is there an option to show them similar to Daz Connect or DazCentral?
No, I'm afraid it's only in the tooltips (the box that appears when you hover).
