Happy Independence day everyone!  We usually have a huge barbeque party & swimming, followed by half of the peeps going to a local fireworks show at a nearby high school.  This year, it will be a tiny bbq and swim party (immediate family) and, hopefully, there will be televised fireworks from somewhere.

    Keep safe.

Wheee... 4th of July.  Shared spicy grilled sausages with my brother & sister-in-law.  Bought groceries locally.  Ordered locally unobtainable groceries from Amazon.  Big day! indecision  All tuckered out.

After dinner, we watched the military airshow in Washington D.C. Seeing the progression of aircraft technology was ver cool - amazing how many models have been in service for many decades. Happy 4th of July.

  • People lighting off fireworks at random hours of the night in this neighborhood for the past few days.
(I know it's fireworks and not violence because I live out in suburbia.)

I'm late to the party but: Happy 4th of July! It's not over for me because it's after 2 AM here and people are STILL letting off fireworks in my neighbourhood. We adopted a dog last year and this is his first 4th of July with us - thankfully we've been able to keep him pretty calm, though he was not doing so well at the start of the evening. But we made some sausage and hotdogs and turned the TV up pretty loud to keep the worst of the fireworks from scaring him, and we also played with him a TON. Between the play and the food, he's finally tuckered out and finally drifting off to sleep. Hopefully, the fireworks will let up soon so that I can sleep too. lol

Happy Fourth of July (to those who celebrate it)! :)
