Strand Based Hair Presets

Can one do a Strand Based Hair setup that's dry and a bit puffy and the same SBH that's wet or oily and slick and save those as presets and they change the properties of the already loaded SBH rather than loading a new SBH? The result is the same ultimately but it seems presets to change an existing loaded SBH would be very helpful.

To give you a better ideal of what I'm trying to do it's this sea lion's fur. I want it dry & a bit puffy and wet & slick as SBH presets not two different strand baded hairs.
