Custom morphs file paths

Using Daz Studio 4.10.0.123 Pro 64Bit

Looking for some help with the file path for custom morphs.

I'm able to create and save a custom morph just fine, it's the file path that is bothering me and while I can change the default directory, its all the other folder underneath I'd like to get rid of.

What I get: "3D Work\Daz Custom Files\Morphs\data\WillDupre\DH2_Tack\DH2_WesternSaddle\Morphs\Teigh\Saddle\Test.dsf"

What I'd like: "3D Work\Daz Custom Files\Morphs\Saddle\Test.dsf"

Any idea how I can go about doing this?

Many thanks.

You can't. You can save a preset to apply the morph wherever you want, but the technical morph data file must use that folder hierarchy.

    Thanks for that.

To expand a bit, here is the structure used for all morphs of a figure from some product:

    data/<figure_creator>/<figure_product_name>/<figure_name>/Morphs/<morph_creator>/<morph_product_name>/<morph_name>.dsf

It's a bit long and detailed, but it has the following advantages:

    • it ensures that DS can automatically find all morphs for a given figure without having to parse all dsf files in all your content directories to see which figure they reference
    • there's no risk of confusion between figures or morphs from different creators using the same name
