loading special cameras question

How I've never had to know how to do this since DS3 I have no idea, lol. But how do I load cameras without losing my default camera when I do?

Hold down the Ctrl/Cmd key while loading the camera.

That process didn't work, so I uploaded them into the scene and saved as a separate scene, then opening the original scene and merging in the lights.

I assume you mean loaded rather than uploaded.

The modifier Mike listed gives an option dialogue, for presets, which allows you to choose to keep some or all of the existing cameras or lights (and other options for other preset types).

It didn't do anything but replace my default camera, but I figured out the work-around. :)
