Problem with Caprice Hair

MuzMelMuzMel Posts: 76

Hey guys. I I got this hair because it looked versatile enough that I could stick it on many different people with morphs. However, when I change the preset style, it leaves a white outline where the hair used to be. It is the first time I've run into this. Any idea what's causing it? Pic attached, stopped render at 40% cause it wasnt removing the lines anyway

Is there prehaps some sort of "fine hair" or "messy strands" morph active?  It looks like those hair sets (like the Haydina one, for example) that have a separate layer of fine hair strands.  Perhaps those strands aren't morphing with the base?  That's all I can think of...

Those aren't lines, they are stray hairs.  They're also visible in the promo images.

Ahhh that's a shame, it was perfect otherwise. They look more like lines than strands in mine, as they have gaps in the middle and aren't connected proper. Maybe something to do with the light?

It does have some fine hair strands and they don't move when you use the BehindShoulder morphs.  Intended or not, doesn't look good IMO.  Doesn't seem to be possible to hide them with the Geometry Editor - it is possible to select them using Edge Selection and Lasso, and then Select Connected, but the option for hiding them is not available.

Can you assign them to a new material group. If so you could put an invisible material on them.

Doesn't look like you can, unfortunately - the option isn't there.

Its a bust for this one, I tried a render with distance and even in that it's noticable. If anyone has recommendations for similar hair, let me know. Most of the longer hair I tried have big or high partings, this was perfect in that regard
