How do I turn it back off?

    render settings - environment - draw dome - off

    That does a lot more than turn the dome off.

    Render Settings/Environment Map click on the small square and choose None from the drop down menu. You add one the same way.

    They all turn the HDRI off. He didn't specify in what way he wanted to turn it off.

    You'll find Daz Studio has lots of ways to do the same thing

    Not true. 2 of the three do effectively the same thing. I'm pretty sure the third is just wrong. Studio includes a default HDRI.
