Looks like, we are playing different games. Call me when any Open World game with Daz Characters will be released. With Millawa 8, for example.

    Millawa 8

Yes, she does look awesome but I definately don't play or am I interested in the Open World games thematically. I think you'll start seeing DAZ like iRay realistical level ray tracing in the next 5 years but those sorts of details need these ray tracing cards that are new from nVidia & AMD along with a lot more RAM on the cards ultimately. Probably in a couple of years with the new PS5 / XBox your will see such realism.

I'd love to get that realistic lighting in my games but not for the open world theme just the more realistic lighting. It's not realistic yet on mobile or without making low polygon scenes with high contrast to hide the fact the scene isn't an iRay level render.

Ah, UnrealEngine is doing that lights since 9 years ago!, this video is from 2011...

That's too much contrast though in most life situations and it's all baked textures (I think, not sure). Even the much smaller games I want to make need my time spent on game programming and not baking texture sets if I've going to get any semblance of originality in my games and actually get them published. LOL, that's why I finally decided to just wing it and not look in the app stores.

It does look super great though and that night time rainy urban look is sometimes the right look for a game scene's plot.
