What is the best way to create seamless animation loops?
in The Commons
I imported a bvh file into DS of a dance move and I want to edit it so that it just cycles the the same sequnce of moves in a loop. I made an AniBlock from the bvh and tried to use the AniBlock trim function where the final frame looked exactly like the begining frame but after saving adjusted AniBlock and trying to use it on a character the last frame is not the same as when I saved it. If I try to extend the Aniblock the orientation rotates like 90 degrees to the left. Does a seamless loop have to be created with keys in the regular timeline?

I too would be interested in this information. A video demonstrating how it would be done, in DAZ Studio, would be perfect.
Casual has a script I use
I think it is this one, it makes loops as well as decimating keyframes

The only way I managed it was to have a lead in and tail out section, then have the animation you want inbetween, otherwise the tweening isn't correct and the animation jumps.
The animation I tried was a basic walk cycle but ended up with 14 different animated items, not including the figure poses, without the lead in and tail out the animation always jumped, with it I managed to get a perfect seamless animation. I think it's the curves messing it up, if you start from frame 0 the curves start at 0, not from what they were on the end frame. Not sure if you get that, not sure I get that.
Have to remember to reset the animation frame start and stop points to include the lead in and tail out before saving otherwise they get deleted (very stupid), so good practice would be to 'save as' each time you change something.
Codex, I tried to follow you, lol, but I'm not totally getting it. What is the lead in and tail out? Is that seperate AniBlocks kinda like the start walk, walk cycle and then the stop walk, or you talking about lead in and tail out within the same AniBlock?
Wendy I do have BLooper and that is strickly a regular timeline script. I wonder if it would reman a seamless loop if it was then converted to AniBlock.
