Entering the serial number. The free version is Pro once serialised (except for Decimator, which is included only for serial numbers issued for the paid-for version of DS 4 Pro)

So Decimator is the only difference this moment? More goodies coming soon to pro or wait until version 5?

Decimator is the difference between free and paid-for DS 4 Pro, yes.

Check the chnage log and Public Build threads for forthcoming features, though remember that Daz tends to hide anything major until they are ready to roll out a Public Build.

What is the paid version? Everything on the site points to free version.

The paid version was available initially, when the free version was just the standard one (which lacked things like the rigging tools - you can look at Help>About Installed Plug-ins to see which parts are in the various bundles that make up Pro). Now there is only the free version, and if you want Decimator you have to buy a license separately.

Thanks Richard. That's what I thought, but better to ask angel

I thought they were the same nowadays except for the decimator plugin. The only paid for old time plugins I have that isn't free now is the decimator plugin, dynamic cloth, mimic live, and animate2. I don't think those last 3 are DAZ 3D property.

There were actually three versions - Free, Advanced and Pro, but unless you've been here since 2012, don't worry about it.

Yes, and there are separate groups of plug-ins for each in Help>About Installed Plug-ins.

That's interesting. I've had some form of Daz since 2009, but I don't remember anything that far back. I don't remember Daz before 4.8, actually.

Didn't the Pro version also have the Dynamic Cloth Control at one time?

No both Standard and Pro had the basic Dynamic Cloth plugin, not the Dynamic cloth Control,
