what happened to my $10 gift card? [RESOLVED]

I think I'm doing something wrong ... because there was a banner at the top of my screen yesterday for a free $10 gift card on daz ... so I 'purchased' the gc, inserted the promo code, and received an email saying I sent myself a $10 gift card.

So I go to daz and plug in the code emailed to me to claim my gc, and it tells me the code is invalid, and I look under gift cards and see a 0 balance ... what am I doing wrong?

    Did you get sent two codes? Take a look at the email and see if two different codes where sent. What often happens is that two codes are sent and only one works. If there are two try the other one to see if that one works. 

    If it doesn't work still, I'd put in support ticket.

    Check your store credit and see if the card was redeemed to your credit. Does it show a new $10 added.
