Elora smart content problem

Yesterday I purchased the Elora for Genesis 8 Female character .
As usual, I downloaded withthe Install manager.

On opening Studio, the character did not appear in the list (smart content). I went looking, and it is installed and I can open it from there.

Today I noticed that, in Smart Content, the Elora character is still not there. But if I load another character, it suddenly appears. When I delete the open character, Elora once again disappears from the list.

I guess this must be a kind of bug, so I wanted to inform the DAZ people about this.
Not a problem for me really, but it might well be for smart content users.

If you consider it a bug you should notify Daz through a ticket.

You need to report this via a support ticket - I suspect it means that the compatbility is not set correctly on the Character preset.

  • I filled in a ticket, and then had to face Captchas...

Solve it yourselves. I am a paying customer and I mentioned the problem.
I have no time for that nonsense.

If you are facing captchas then click the Sign In link at top-right of the ZenDesk (ticket) page - the log in doesn't seem to carry over.

Allow me to solve this for you.

Elora is set as a preset -> character nstead of an actor/character.

Go to the product in content library.

With the product name highlighted right click and select edit metadata.

There will be 2 tabs across the top - product and assets. Click on the assets tab.

In the list of assets you will see Elora.duf - left click on to highlight it.

Below you will see details of that file,

Under type you will see preset -> character is set,

Hit the drop down and change that to actor -> character. Hit accept. You will be prompted to update the metadata files. Say yes.** If you are not comfortable doing this please wait for the update from Daz Support **

Once saved Elora will now take her rightful place in Smart Content under real world/females.

I hope this helps. From what I can see this is Kooki99's first asset released here at Daz - apart from this minor hiccup looks like a promising start. Just curious why no makeup or eye color options were offered - not that we have a shortage of those.

By the way Richard this is the 2nd one I have seen recently set that way - had the same issue with Mousso's Antonella HD for Genesis 8 Female.

    Hi there !

I'm sorry I missed this post, Richard. I would've reply earlier.
Thank you for your feedback, and thank you David for your answer and cheers :)

You have to know that the metadata part is done by DAZ, we only provide the asset/files but I'll check on future products
