I don't know if I can explain this right, but I'll try.  I imported an FBX model into Daz and the X,Y,Z controls are all off.  For example the directional arrows are way to the right.  If I do any rotation the object doesn't stay in place.  Instead, it roHow do I realign them.  Placing the object in a scene is really hard.

I usually send the object to Hexagon, center it in the world, then send it back to DS. Otherwise, you could use the joint editor to adjust the pivot point manually.

Or you can create a null and move that to where you want the pivot point to be and then parent the FBX model to the null and use the null to move things around.

I also uncheck the "selection check" so I don't keep trying to grab the model and move it directly.

So here was my solution.  I imported the fbx into Poser.  I then exported it out as an OBJ.  When I imported the OBJ into Daz, all was good.
