A search user function or a "advanced search"?

hello guys i would love know if the forum have a "user search function" or something to make more easy to find "forum users", because sometimes i really want to contact some PA artists and is very complicated use the "normal search forum, because before i can finally find a "post" from the user it can take a lot of time even if i find it (which in some cases the person don't post in forum making impossible to "contact" him while i don't have issues which some "users don't want to be contacted for the others cases is really annoying going page per page looking for a post from the user among countless posts, then i would love to know if the forum have any way to find not a post but the user direct if him/her have a forum contact or have anyway to make more "precise" the search function to make something like "priorize find the user posts before just try to find his name inside many posts(for exemple others peoples posting and talking about user x then that post will count among the search making hard to really find the user because i must first pass really a lot of posts with the person name being talked before i can find a real post made by the person himself/herself and can try to contact.

    You're supposed to file a support ticket when you need to contact a PA. It's part of the services DAZ provides for the PAs.

    well it "was supposed to be" but the problem is which as i told before in others posts using support ticket is almost "impossible", from all the 3 peoples in the support i know only one would try do that and only few times(not everytime) most of the times they say to go to forum, which it's iws not they "work contact thePA" which make the "ask to contact part pointless and contradict self, because they really overal don't do that.

     

    Or they somehow have some sort of "grudge/hate" over me or the "contact part" don't really work as it was supposed to work.

    I've only tried to contact a vendor once via the forum, and never received a reply, so I wouldn't count on that working.  I've found Daz staff to be pretty helpful with product support, but it's not their job to pass messages between customers and vendors.

    Bear in mind, that some PA may not want to be contacted.

    That is one of the reasons, they have Daz 3D to handle the support for their products.

    well to be fair so far only 2 pa vendors never replayed to me in the forum overal all the others replayed without any issues, about the "normal support" yeah they are very helpful and nice overal i've only had issues with daz support when comes to some very specific case like "add licenses(is more easy ask the PA to add than daz support even if it's a "daz original" product, most of the times they say which they will "look at it" but in the end do nothing" or when is about contact a PA artist , others issues works nice.

    yeah i know about that, this is not a issue for me if they don't want and i respect it, the real issue come's to the fact which in the ticket form does have a option to "contact a PA", if they can't do that then what is the point to have "that option", its what bugs me, if they can't then remove that opton because it's misslead to have a "contact a PA" option in the support ticket if you can't really do that, they must remove that option, because the current system is "outdated" based on that option if they don't offer this support anymore.

     

    Let's be clear my point is not about "peoples which don't want to be contacted no issues here, my point is for thes "which don't have any issue to be contacted the "current way" to contact then is very complicated and troublesome because the "search mechanics in the forum are "too basic and vague" making hard to contact the "ones which don't have problem, you must dive deep and take "some time in many cases before you can actually find the contact, most of the others forums i've used so far have "better mechanics for forum search and contact, like "users lists where you can "dive" or more precise searchs where you can choose search "for users" and things like that, here the search system is very "basic" without any 'advanced option" the same goes for the shop search system which make a lot troublesome to find some stuffs when you want to be more precise like "search for outfits or characters only", daz somehow need to improve they "site" search system not only the forum but also shop, because it's really being honest bad when you compare it with others sites searchs mechanis.
