new problem with Avandrael

Hi again.  The problem now with Avandrael is with the tail.  In my content library most options for this character can be easily found, but the tail is not there.  I was able to find the tail and tail cover in the external anatomy tab and could load the tail that way.  I could pose the tail by finding pose dials under the character's general pose tab.  However, the product supposedly contains seven different options for textures of the tail (just like the hooves and horns, I would guess) - where are they?  I have literally looked everywhere.   My character has this weird white tail that just doesn't work  I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  Any thoughts?

And strangely, I even tried to change the texture myself using a shader and the surfaces tab.  Doesn't work.  So I'm stumped.

I have since found the tail covers - buried - not real happy about that.  But there is a tip that says "cover mats."  I have no idea how to do that....  Help, somebody!  Thanks.

I am so sorry I didn't see this sooner! I'd seen you hooves post, but you'd said you'd solved it and for some reason I missed this one completely. I know geoshells take a little getting used to.

First, if you are using smart content, you can right click on any item in the product and select "Explore Product". That should show you all the files available for her (or any product you want to use) grouped together without anything else getting in the way.

Ok, so the base tail should be in external anatomy (in the files part of Smart Content). This should load with a skin on it that will blend with Avandrael's base skin. The covers are for other skins you might want to use the tail with. You can copy the mats from the character's torso to the Torso mat zone on the tail, then apply the cover to your character. This was done this way to make the tail itself a lot more useful. You can use this on any G8F in the store this way.

The base tail materials will add either human skin, red devil or blue devil full to the base tail.

The cover is in anatomy and is a geoshell. Once that is on the character, you can select either the geoshell or the base character and change the cover materials. There are 2 cover materials to match the base red and blue demon skins, then 5 that are scaled to match the pitchfork in Blasphemy: Poses and Props for Genesis 8 and Infernal Wings. There are also 8 materials to go with Infernal Wings for Genesis 8 Male(s) and Genesis 8 Female(s). Lastly there are 2 opacity options for the tail cover-- 1 that wraps around the whole tail and 1 that only covers the top of it.

All the tail mats should apply to the right thing with base Genesis 8 Female selected.

Again, I'm so sorry it took me so long to see this. I hope someone was able to help you.

Is there a guide or instructions anywhere on how to use this? I can't find anything within the product and what you suggested doesn't work. I appleied the tail and the cover (geoshell?) but nothing works to make it match the character or change the colour.

I wish creators would take the extra step and put instructions on how to use the product in the product and not just assume everyone knows what they know, 'cause we don't.
