New DIM is annoying!!

There's this new pop up menu, prompting you to install updates, and I'm scared sh*tless every time I see it...even with the "install after download" uncheckedangry. No way to get rid of it AFAIKangry. Fix it DAZ!!

    Is that the "Default Install Sets"? It can be disabled...

    Just uncheck the Show Automatically box.

    I couldn't make it go away either, now it isn't showing anymore for whatever reason.  Maybe I've downloaded what it wanted me to (don't recall what it was)?

    Well it is what it is...just have to be extremely careful (and awake) and double check before installing stuff. Now off to backup DS 4.9, better safe than sorry...

    You don't have to use it to install anything, for me it shows the DAZ Studio Pro Bundle files and whether they are installed or not.. Just cancel out of the dialog and select your downloads the usual way. I guess it was meant to be a convenience for those who don't know what to install to get started.

    Yeah that's what I do, and I understand the convenience thing;) I just wish I could hide that menu for ever...

    Could be write protection on your file or folder. I think the status is stored in the DIM account .ini as "AutoShowInstallModule". Naturally, try a value of false if yours is true.

    Once I uncehcked "Show Automatically" it never came back.

    I loathe it.

    ... But I loathe it slightly less than the travisty that is the in-app content download etc.

    I got rid of it my unticking both boxes.

    For me the experience is it cannot install all the product e.g. this product https://www.daz3d.com/i13-effect-pose-collection-seating props are not showing only poses. Some product without any thumbnail but an ugly exclamatory mark.

    Except these everything is working fine.
