Playful public Pool

Hey,

I just realized, that there is not a single "normal" Public Pool like I know them in Real.

Example:

https://www.stadtwerke-warendorf.de/Baeder/Freibad/Freibad/-MG-8302-1.jpg

A public Pool, with grass around, places to lie down and important: Fun attractions! Slides! And maybe those metal pipes where water gets out.

Yeah... and maybe a Kiosk/Snackpoint and an little Emergency room and indeed a cabine for the lifeguard. (Much times a bit higher in kind of a tower, so he/she can see all, that "tower" have most times the emergency room, for first aid stuff).

Edit: And shower places (to get clean before you get into the big pool) and cabines where you can change your clothes.

Thanks, would be awesome :)

You could combine the Competiton Pool & Kids Playtime Area for a similar type area. Don't load or hide the parts you don't need. Scale the size of other parts that are the wrong size. Retexure parts you wish to look more like the materials in the picture you provided.

  • There's this: https://www.daz3d.com/public-outdoor-pool, and it would be easy enough to add grass around it

The Slide would not fit into a water slide, special not with that building.

The Competition pool is indeed a good start, but it still need a lot more.

Absolute too small! And no slide, no park no... anything.

  • Oh...... you want a Water Park. That's different than just a public pool in English.

  • LoonyLoony Posts: 1,801

Yeah I want such a Pool where you go with your Family. I'm german, I know it as "Freibad/Schwimmbad".

You have to scale the slide & hide the building.

Generally, Poser content will load into Daz Studio (this one says it's for Poser 7+ so should be fine) but the materials won't be right. If the maps load, you'll need to adust the surface settings in DS (whether for 3DL or Iray) and if the maps don't load, you'll need to apply them manually and then adjust the surface settings.

Sounds like a lot new work and testing :/

Thats why I would prefer to buy a tested product where I have atleast a "minimum" guaranty, that it is made for my used Software. Like PSD works in Gimp but the most PSD's are mate for Photoshop, so buying PSD's is a bit risky for Gimp, and can cause also a lot work.

And my Work takes already so much time (time is really my biggest problem, I do it already full time + Forum/shop, research etc).

Thats why I try to outsource it a bit.

Don't forget the Baby Ruth(wrapper-free, of course)!. Can't have a public pool without the floating Baby Ruth that sends everyone fleeing out of the pool!

I never heard that before. I throwed it into Google and... it looks like an Snickers. No idea what the Point is :/

A candy, who let people assume its poop?

@Nonesuch did you maybe forgot to write anything more? to the second quote?

And... for what the movement? If I hide the building, I have a slider, but the slide would need a plattform and stairs to slide down and for the waiting people.

Oh that is pretty good! (smaller as a big one, but then faster to render^^)

But it say OBJ, so does dazstudio auto assign all textures correct?

So i put it just in my Runtime and can then load the set in Daz?

  • MarcCCTxMarcCCTx Posts: 909

Yes this is out of the box, with the render/light preset from UltraScenery.

    \runtime\libraries\Props\Dreamland Models\BlockEleven\Block Eleven.pp2

There's some extra streets in the package with room for 8 more blocks. Dreamland was at DAZ for a short while.

The first link is not bad, but hell... the Creator made really bad promo images, too big zoomed.

and too much sun chairs or however they are called in english, where you can chill and get spicy grilled :P

So its not that bad, maybe I could use the props and fill the competition pool, but other products looked better.

And the turbosquid products are just slides.

I can remember a wonderful freibad near Schneverdingen west of Luneburg in Germany when I was a kid in the mid 1970's. It was a pre-war structure, all near-black concrete with thick green water and a black sand bottom (though you could never see it). The pool was in rough grass with pine trees surrounding it. The swimwear worn by the locals made G8F skimpwear seem positively modest - collecting the fabric from 20 bathing suits could have made one pair of Speedos. Loved it, spent many weeks there. I was a kid and have never been back, but looking on Google Earth, I can't find it, the nearest freibad that looks roughly right in terms of dimensions, position and proportion is Freibad Fintal, but it has clear water and a blue pool though in other respects it looks right. How my childhood memories have crashed and burned - no green water...

  • LoonyLoony Posts: 1,801

I was in my 4th grade class in Schneverdingen, we did visit a old School to see how our parents got hit in the school xD... well I assume that was the main input we should get? :D

  • richardandtracyrichardandtracy Posts: 5,067

My goodness, what a small world. Never went to school in Schneverdingen, had to go to boarding school in England, however holidays with the family seemed to both last forever and fly by at the same time. Very happy memories.
