Slightly OT: Replicating Camera Raw adjustments with layers

I was wondering if anyone would happen to know how to 'manually' recreate some of the adjustments available in Photoshop's Camera Raw with the standard filters or adjustment layers.Some are easy, like Saturation, Vibrance, and Exposure, but a few like Texture and Clarity aren't as obvious. I read that Clarity is basically a High Pass filter used to adjust midtone contrast, but I can't find anything online describing what makes up Texture or Dehaze.

As how this relates to 3d work, I like Camera Raw a lot, but I'm going back to rendering masks for most surfaces (please don't ever, EVER break Mask and Multipass Toolkit) and I'd rather use adjustment layers when I can. Thanks in advance for any information.
