getting an error message on a newly-bought item

I just downloaded a newly-bought item an am trying to load it into my scene and am getting an error message to look at the log file, which always bewilders me. Can someone tell me what the log Is saying is wrong?

    The message is telling you that you're trying to apply a preset with either nothing or the wrong type of item selected.
    Basically you're loading the wrong file, this one is a material.

    Think I saw that on a hierachical material preset and its telling you that the item you selected is not the node it is looking for.

    hmmm .... maybe the file install out of place or something. Will try again :) thanks

    Yes, you would get that type of error if you tried to apply a hierarchical preset with the wrong node selected. Hierarchical presets are meant to affect a figure and the various items patented to it (eg G8F and her eyelashes) so you need to apply it with the figure selected, not one of the sub-items.

    It's a rendo product. Twizted Feather. And I figured out what I was doing wrong once someone said what the message meant. I was rushing and not paying attention.
