Posing Help

Hiya, I was hoping for some help with posing. I make my own poses in my scenes, but have never gone beyond that. The most recent one I made I saved as a preset. I had to take the limits off for part of the leg and when applying this saved pose to a new figure the leg is not in the right position. I have googled this but do not seem to be able to gain any clear advice, please help :-)

I turned limits off when saving the pose preset, I also turned the limits off the new figure before applying the pose preset, made no difference, but I did notice that edit>limits option only turn off limits on the rotation, I think I used 'bend' for the leg

Bend is a rotation. If you go to Edit>Preferences (Daz Studio>Preferences on a Mac) and in that switch to the Content ab what is the option for handling out of limits presets?
