Animation Turn automatic keyframeing off?

Hi friends,
Is there a way to turn of automatic keyframeing? Currently I am doing the lights for an animation scene and I need to go a lot of back and forward to make sure, that the lights look good in all poses.
But I don't want that the light gets animated when I adjust and test the lights on a different frame. So is there a way to turn off automatic keyframing? Maybe a script from mCasual?

There is no way to do that right?
Is there maybe a way to at least set the default keyframe creation type to linear instead of spline. Because spline is often causing unwanted movement :/
I wish I could give you some info. I know how frustrating it is to post a comment and get no feedback at all. I have been doing a bit of research as well on timeline usage myself particularly key frames, if I find anything on what you are asking I will pass it on to you.
Thanks a lot kwannie :) Maybe I can answer some of your timeline questions? I am currently working on an animation and exploring all kinds of timeline/animation features in DAZ as well.
I am also looking to turn off auto keyframing. I have bookmarked this post.
Well, Thank you I appreciate the offer. I had break through last week when I instructions on how to apply animations to single nodes and their children such as an arm or a leg, but one thing I would like to learn has more to do with auto keying. I would like to find out how to apply adjustments across the entire animation when then that adjustment is applied to a single frame. For example if at frame 1 I want to lower my character's hip and bend the knees, have that more of squatty pose applied to all the rest of the key for the hip and legs across the rest of the animation. That in fact is referred to as auto keying in other 3D platforms.
