Prism Custom Iray Camera

So, I saw a few old threads that never ended up providing a good explanation of how to use this Prism Custom Iray Camera's effects, only that some stuff that used to work, no longer works, etc.   

Did anyone ever figure this out?  It looks neat, but I can't get DOF to work with it, and that's a biggie for me.

Oh, and a lot of canvas stuff like selecting nodes for beauty canvasses and depth canvasses don't work either.  I thought I could get around the lack of DOF by using a depth canvas, but that just turned out black, like the node beauty canvas.

Had to do things the hard way.
