A scene that wants to crash

Hi,
I made some adjustments to a scene I had been working on for some time. The new scene just decides to crash once I move the frame pointer past frame 400, or, maybe just after a few movements in the interface, total freeze.
This happens on 4.12, and 4.11beta. It does not happen on the original scene.
Possible culprits:
Emissive lights?
New Camera?
I can't make out anything from the log.

What mode is the Viewport in?

This is what I just found out...
I'm using an M4 character. For whatever reason, the IK handles stopped working a while back in the scene. The character is not using aniblocks. It seems when I moved his hand with the regular transport controls, as if they were the IK handles (which worked initially) that is when the first crash happene, and ever since.
I deleted the character and for the moment it looks like I can jump around on the timeline.
The general Release is known t ave an issue with some Poser IK chains, though that usually happens on file load. The Public Build (Beta) resolves that issue.
Oh Ok, that sounds good. I haven't been using the latest beta, is it stable enough for everyday use?
It seems pretty stable, yes.
