Trouble rendering new hair --HELP!

I just purchased and downloaded the Leony Ponytail for Genesis 3 Female. I running Daz Studio 4.12.0.86 Pro Edition. The hair is showing up fine in the Viewport but when I render, it's coming out almost like negative space. I've tried deleting the hair and re-applying it. I've tried different colors/materials. I'm sure it's probably some render setting but I don't know enough about that kind of thing to try changing anything. Help, please!

Is this an Iray or 3Delight render?
3Delight. I haven't even figured out how to do Iray!
Well the product in question says it's for Iray only, so that might be the issue. Some Iray products just don't look right in 3Delight. https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-iray-to-3delight-converter-and-merchant-resource this product could help. Or you could try applying 3delight shaders yourself. I myself am not very knowledgeable when it comes to stuff like that. Someone on here might be able to help in that departement. Hoped that helped alittle.
The hair materials are Iray only, as far as I can see, so you will probably need to substitute ana lternative set of hair shaders.
Thank you! How do I get Iray?
Iray is included in the 64 bit versions of DS since 4.8.x.x
Rollbc, in the Render Pane, in the top left where it says Engine: there is a drop-down that gives you a number of options (one of them being Iray).
Thank you. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot but this is what I see in the drop-down menu that I found.
Hmmm, my menu doesn't look like that. It has more options.
I'm not sure what you have to do to get Iray added to the menu (you found the correct menu). I think I read that you have to install Iray shaders separately for older versions but I was under the impression Iray was there by default in newer versions. I'm still pretty new to DS so someone else will have to help you with specifics.
Gotcha. Ok, thank you for the help. I appreciate it.
