Daz NOT using the I9 nor GTX 1070

This is probably a setting I have overlooked but Daz is not using any of the recources. It's a simple Dforce calculation takes ages while my processor is almost idling as is the graphics card. Rendering is slow as it is not using the graphics card at all while I have more then enough memory left. It does however run the CPU 100% while rendering when I tick both GPU and CPU in the render settings.

Any help would be apriciated

CPU: Intel i9 - 9900K

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB)

16 GB of internal memory

What is the driver version for your GPU - right-click on the desktop>nVidia Control Panel?

If you are looking at Task Manager to check the GPU usage note that by default it won't show anything as rendering and dims are the wqrng kind of activity - if you go to the Performance tab you can set one of the graphs to CUDA to see rendering activity, try Compute_0 for dForce activity (I'm not sure if that is the correct one though).

  • That solved the problem! Somehow Cuda was set to global for Daz but now it's using all cores (and it showes up). I do think you are right though to say the GPU was working but didn't show up. To me this is kind of odd because in Blemder (where I do most of my work) CUDA is a setting you have to tick in order for it to work.

    Anyway, thank for you time!

iRay uses CUDa by preference. You also should disable always using the CPU for renders.
