...Albert Uderzo, co founder writer and artist of the immortal Asterx comic series passed on today at the age of 92.

Loved the names of the characters and the books were exquisitely done.

  • Asterix or The Adventures of Asterix were very popular comic amongst the french quebec readers. So many were reported dead today that I am stone cold in shock.

    crying

I still have the full collection of all Asterix comics. I love the details, the humour, the thought they put into them.
    This is so sad.

I have the DVDs of the TinTin cartoons and the Asterix & Obelisk cartoons from 20 years ago when I bought them. I never saw the comics or shows in the US though I had somehow managed to hear of them. Oh, nevermind, they used to be in the daily comics section of newspapers before the newspapers did, well did other things with their newspapers besides comics sections.

The most amazing thing about Alberto Uderzo's art: he was colourbind!

Really sad to see him go. :(

I'm a big fan of his work, including Asterix books and cartoons (and of the Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra movie), Oumpah Pah or Tanguy et Laverdure.

    He will be really missed.
