Question about Windows 10 update last night

So Windows 10 updated on its own last night (which drives me crazy about Windows!) and I'm not sure if I have to download another NVIDIA driver now. Does anyone know?

    Does it still work?

I haven't opened DS yet because I don't want to have to restart everything after building a whole scene. And sometimes things still work but renders VERY slowly and I think it's just the fault of the product or DS itself until I find out I need a different driver. I was just wondering if anyone already knew the answer so I don't have to experiment.

Mne looks unchanged - right-click on your desktop>nVidia Control Panel and the current version number is under the logo.

I haven't yet got my head round the whole Win 10 update thing. I got the Pro version last year, and since then, not a single update has ever successfully installed. I always get the same message.

"There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later."

The current message is "2020-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4528760) -Error 0x800f081f"

I've googled this and tried all sorts of things, including manual install (Error), so for now, I just happily continue to ignore it.

Right now, Settings> System> About tells me I have Version 1903, Installed on 03/06/2019, OS Build 18362.30

I don't have any special settings applied to pause updates, so I'm not sure what's going on. If anyone has a clue on this, I'd love to hear it.

Edit - I should mention that it's only Win 10 Cumulative updates that fail. NET Framework, Malicious Software, etc all update fine.

Well, everything I can find on it seems to indicate that you need to do a repair/upgrade, which I'd imagine you've already done, so ... I'm not sure what else to do. (Weirdly, when I search for the entire sentence, the only things that come up are non-English language sites.)

That specific error seems to indicate an issue with .NET 3.5 and/or the Microsoft Connect app, whatever that may be. Do you even have .NET 3.5.X installed? (The version included with Windows 10 by default is 4.X -- 4.8 at the moment, I think, but I'm not sure of that.)

nVidia and hardware drivers will be listed in their own list as driver updates and not as cummulative OS and runtime library updates. Anyway, you can look at the list of successfully apply updates on you computer Settings - Update & Security - View Update History. They don't try and hide what they've updated.
