Mei Lin HD loading with no textures.

The normal version loads in fully textured and all my other HD figures (Vicky/Bridget/Kala/Charlotte/Babina HD) all load in with their regular skin textures. When I bring in Mei Lin HD she's grey in the viewport and in renders. All I need to do is apply her textures so it's not a big deal but I was just wondering what could cause this and why would it only happen to ML?

    I assume it is a product bug. Submit a help request and ask Daz to fix it.

    It's funny, ML8 has been out quite a while now so you'd think they would have updated this by now, not that it's a big deal to me, but just makes you wonder.

    Even when these core figure problems are reported, they don't always get fixed. I'm still waiting after many months for a Daz Connect fix to Christian 8's eyebrows. I finally just gave up and installed him with DIM. It baffles me that they don't care more about their own Pro Bundle figures. Maybe Mei Lin, as a female, will get more attention.

    I'll submit a ticket later today. I actually did a google search and didn't find anything, so I thought maybe something just went wrong on my side but if it's an actual issue with ML HD then yeah, it should be fixed.

    I never really considered it an issue since it takes a couple of clicks to load her textures, maybe others are like me and it never got reported

    Daz HD characters load materials with normal msps off, because the HD morphs contain the details that the normal maps "fake". If you load the character materials after loading the HD character, be aware that you are essentially doubling those details. You can apply the settings preset for Normal Maps Off to return to the settings that would normally apply to an HD character.
