no default scene on startup

i just installed DS 4.6 pro and when i start it there is no default scene loaded.
i just get an empty workspace
i haven't used DS in a long time ....
but is't there supposed to be a default startup scene with the genesis figure and a beach scene or something ?

Not always. It depends on your settings. You can tell DS to load a figure or scene when you start fresh in the preferences menu.

The Normal start up is just Genesis loading no props or lights or stuff....

You can also customize the Startup Scene to your liking. I prefer not to have Genesis automatically load, as it's not the only figure I use. I do, however, prefer to have my preference in cameras and lights load automatically each time.

Once you've figured out whether there's a set of lights and cameras you'd like to use each time, you can resave the scene to your My Library > Scenes folder so that it loads automatically each time you start up DAZ Studio, as long as you've set it up in Preferences to do so.
