Getting some Oddities in the shop

For a couple of weeks now, whenever I look at the shop there has been some odd behaviour.

When I first look at the shop page 1 I get loads of black squares as placeholders for images. After a few seconds, these turn into pictures. Then they go blank again after a few seconds, and 5 seconds later, most re-appear, but not all and frequently in different positions from the initial glimpse, because of reshuffling due to the ones that are now missing. I managed to read one before it disapoeared this morning, and it said "Energon Room', which is here: https://www.daz3d.com/energon-room . (It didn't show up in search results, but when I clicked on 'Show All' I was taken to it.) The initial price of $18.95 is replaced with, in my view, a discount of -'%NaN', giving a price of '$undefin.ed'.

Can I ask what could be going on? Does DAZ have regional selling? Or am I getting a glimpse of PC+ only items when I'm not eligible? Or is it a glitch? Or is it that DAZ is now censoring, on the basis of my previous purchases, what I may want to see (as Amazon seems to want to do, and has consequently driven me away because I have a wide range of interests and cannot be pidgeonholed into a tiny range).

Regards,

Richard

My guess is that you are seeing the caching that happens when CloudFlare populates the world with the latest version of the shop.  Does it happen everytime you look at the store or specifically at a certain time in the evening?  There is a period before the store has settled (and current versions of the home page have been pushed) which is roughly midnight Daz3d Utah time when the turnover happens.  You may see some crazy prices which are not real.  At that time,  I have seen all of those artifacts.  If you are seeing this at other times, your IP is having some sort of issue.  Daz3d doesn't hide subsets of  products from customers; they are a pretty small company....

  • That may be it. Been looking in the morning UK time, which is probably midnight in Utah.

    Thanks,

    Richard.

  • Do you have either of the filter tickboxes (Hide Stuff I Own and Only Show PC+) selected? I frequently see the same juggling act whenever I load a new store page, and I'm fairly sure it's because the show/no show decision for each item is being made in the browser, not at the DAZ website.
