To make up for the site being effectively deadvall day yesterday I believe

I noticed and it surprised me, too.

Yes, that's because the site was down yesterday, so they kept yesterday's offers live for one more day.

  • They even resent the same promotional email this morning. I guess it makes sense, and gives those artists who didn’t really get a “new release day” yesterday a chance.

Yeah, it makes sense. I reloaded the page 3 times thinking there was something wrong. LOL! Well, it gives my pocket a rest.
  • So maybe an announcement in an email that this is what happened would be helpful, Cruz I thought a screwy wabbit was loose in the office...
  • Ground Hog Day 2!

  • I was having withdrawal symptoms but then I realized there are new Fast Grab items!! :D

The day is still young.  Granted, I'm not a huge fan of blink sales and such, even though I often take advantage of them, but it's a distinct possibility.

If no new offer or flash/blink sale happens today though, won't hurt my feelings.  A breather is always nice for my Daz budget.

This is a quote from Jack in the There's Always Another Sale thread:

So when you say outtage, what exactly happened? I didn't get on the site until that afternoon, when it was working. Was the site completely down/gone, or just slow/not working?

I believe it was at the datacenter level, so out of Daz's control.

I was working at school and thought the district had decided to block DAZ3D like Facebook. Really disappointed me until I finally got on at the end of the work day. I kept getting a message about some Cloud thing in Dallas not being able to make commection.

Would be so nice if a Daz official could just pop in and explain the difficulties of the sales or website once in a while instead of leaving their customers high and dry as to an explanation. I have always been strictly a daz shopper, but I find myself wandering over to the other sites more and more frequently now with all the sale and site problems here that happen consistently with no explanation and long wait times on submitted tickets.  It's sad really ....

It would have been very difficult for anyone to pop in and explain what was going on yesterday.

Yesterday is understandable, but what about a stickied closed topic in the commons where an official could just pop in and post an update when there is an issue, ?  Yeterday once the site was back up a post could have been made as to what happened, it only takes a few minutes and it would certainly take some pressure off the mods..
