Daz Studio needs to work on this, if it has not already.

if kids can design a 3D character in DAZ and print it on a 3D CUBE.

This will be a HUGE boon to the 3D creative community.

Not just kids... I think most people here would love to be able to print out their favourite creations - assuming no elements of them are 'in the air' with nothing to connect to and support. :)

And if we had something like a stable version of Hexagon which could 3D print, we could easily create individual components for joints and the link, to create physical posed vehicles, robots and so on.

Think it's still a few years off before something like that comes around, though. Wouldn't be surprised if we've got it well within a decade.

I hope so, because they have a program on there site where kids can design a robot to print.

I would love to see some of these characters printed.

It saves as an ,STL file. You need a slicer program that handles your specific 3-D printer. They typically take .stl or .obj files.

Studio will already export an .obj file. You can take that to your slicer program and print. I don't think that Studio will ever support direct 3d prints (or at least not in the near future).
