Can you run DS from d drive?

I was Mac only until I started with DS iRay and don't really understand the c/d drive thing. My C drive is tiny and almost full but my d drive is huge with plenty of space. Can I run DS ( or other apps from the d drive?)

    Short form, yes absolutely!

I installed Daz Studio 4.12 recently completely onto an external drive, in anticipation of a future build.  It 'broke' my older 'C' install on my laptop, but the 'S' install works like a champ!  I chose drive letter 'S' for the external drive, you know cuz S is for Studio...

You just need to make sure the paths to everything in preferences are correct.

I think that some 'registration related' info is still stored on your 'c:' drive, so that the system knows where to look if the app is on another partion or a completely separate drive, of course.  This applies to other programs as well.

I have all of my rendering software (Bryce, Poser, DazStudio) on my D: drive (it's a second internal drive) - no problems at all.
