PayPal transactions not completing on the Daz side

Submitted the order from the cart, went to PayPal, completed the transaction, but didn't get sent back to Daz.

Tried this twice. Now PayPal says I have to two PENDING Paypal  transactions...

PayPal customer service says these transactions were flagged, some promblem with Daz, and that the money will be credited back to my account in a day or so. They recomment I NOT make further purchases from Daz until this happens.

Annoying. The sales I purchased from are limited time sales. Valentine Weekend and today's 99 cent sale. The items remain in the cart, and I do expect to get these items at the price listed there, but it is a pain to have these sorts of problems happeing with the Daz/PayPal transaction process.

Fix the Daz website please.

I haven't tried PayPal this weekend, but AmazonPay has been working fine.

  • I've used PayPal twice this weekend. The first time, yesterday, it worked fine and I was sent back to Daz, then today it took awhile before I got redirected. But once back in Daz the purchased products don't show up in DIM. The items I bought yesterday I was able to download individually via DIM today, but the items I bought today all fail to download once I have one in DIM! I suppose Daz don't have enough staff in today to finally sort the problem.

They should have manual downloads in your Product Library, which you can then move to the Install Manager Downloads folder and access through the Ready To Install tab (having refreshed if DIM was open when you placed the files).

So, I see now that my card was charged twice by PayPal for the amount of my order, which PayPal calls "pending" for some reason, when in fact I've already been charged for the order. Twice, because the Daz site was flumoxed again, so I tried redoing the order when the first attempt crapped out with no redirect after I'd paid.

Never having been redirected to Daz either time, what I purchased is still sitting in my Cart, apparenly unpurchased. I have a Daz Order number, it shows on the PayPal transaction record. My bank account shows the money has been deducted from my balance. Twice.

Third time's the charm, they say, but I see no reason to try placing the order again. It's just a few bucks, but my confidence in doing business with Daz today is down to zero, and I'm out twice the order price, and having to wait some days to get my money back. Not to mention not having the products I've already paid for, yes, you guessed it folks, twice !

On PayPal's recommendation, I'm not purchasing anything more from Daz. How is it that anyone at Daz thinks this is okay? If Daz is open for business on the weekend, and their computers start malfunctioning again, and customers are getting charged for orders that are not completing, with PayPal going ahead and taking our money on behalf of Daz, Daz has a legal responsibility to get that fixed, and an ethical business practice neccessity to get it fixed pronto.

It's called Due Diligence, and the onus is on Daz. Why is this not happening? Why am I having to wait some unknown period of time? Weekend's got nothing to do with Due Diligence requirements under the law, in the United States of America, anyway, and in my home state. I don't take this lightly.

Richard, you're someone who seems to know what goes on on the Daz side of this ecommerce.deal. Any word about when, or whether, it will be safe to do business with Daz again?
